Mission
Healing and Social Change (HSC) promotes personal and community resilience through building networks that strengthen the understanding and practices around intergenerational trauma and systemic oppression, in order to create safe spaces for healing and transformation of our families and community.
Vision
Healing and Social Change (HSC) understanding culture is key to social change, HSC is rooted in the Family Support Principles and the 5 Protective Factors framework that support the strengthening of families and communities. HSC provides expert consulting, technical assistance, trainings for organizations, groups, and individuals, staff retreats, along with spiritual and cultural affirmation through individual coaching and group mentorship circles. Partnering with Family Support Agencies, Community Based Organizations, Parents and grassroots family-run organizations serving diverse families in California and abroad through the networking and connection with family support international organizations promoting cultural preservation, resilience, and healthy communities.
Healing and Social Change Staff
HSC Staff have a unique collective history and expertise in the promotion of community and family support services. The founders and leaders of the organization have been leaders in the creation, design, development, and the evaluation of family-centered and child serving institutions, with particular expertise in the delivery of quality culturally appropriate curriculum that supports and promotes the resilience and well-being of families.
HSC Staff are experienced in providing technical assistance, program evaluation, development of boards, sustainability and strategic plans, fundraising, event planning, organizational development, and the training and support of new and seasoned staff at family resource centers, licensed child care facilities, and community based organizations in California.
